Softener from Sonett 500 g

Product feature

The separate dosage of the softener, adjusted to the local water hardness, guarantees optimum use of the amount of detergent used. 

As with the detergent, we limit the softener to necessary and justifiable ingredients and do not use fillers, phosphates and other softening substances from petroleum products such as phosphonates, NTA (nitrilotriacetate) and EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid).

Module 2 in the Sonett modular system.

Application

In combination with detergent powder concentrate: from water hardness 8.4° dH / 15° fH 

In combination with detergent liquid lavender or sensitive: from water hardness 14° dH / 25° fH 

In combination with commercial detergent: from water hardness 14° dH / 25° fH

Origin and properties of ingredients

Zeolite A (sodium aluminium silicate), the main ingredient of the softener, is made from the easily accessible raw materials water glass and sodium aluminate. This silicate intercepts the water hardness-forming calcium and magnesium ions according to the principle of ion exchange and thus prepares soft water for washing with soap detergent. Soda, made from lime and common salt, forms a chemical compound with the lime in the water and thus removes some of the water hardness-forming substances from the washing water. Citrate, the salt of citric acid, which is obtained by fermenting sugar-containing by-products such as molasses, binds lime to itself, especially at low temperatures.
