Citric acid is more suitable than other acids for versatile decalcification in the kitchen and sanitary area due to its quality as a food ingredient, its restrained odour and its gentle effect on metals and plastics.

For fittings, tiles, toilets - where the limescale remover cannot be heated - let it work for a few minutes, depending on the limescale layer, then rinse thoroughly with clear water.
In cooking pots and for decalcifying machines - where the acid can be heated and is therefore more effective.
Dosage for kettles
Heat approx. 100 ml per 0.5 litres of water to approx. 60 °C, leave to soak for 20 to 30 minutes and rinse well.
Dosing coffee maker
Add 200 ml limescale remover and 800 ml water to the water reservoir of the coffee machine. Descale according to the machine's instructions for use. A subsequent pass with clear water is absolutely necessary - until the water is clear.
Dosage 4.5 kg washing machine
Add 1 litre of limescale remover to the 60 °C main wash cycle without laundry. Run the wash cycle and clean the lint filter.
Add 1 litre of limescale remover to the main wash cycle of the longest rinse cycle (after pre-rinse!) - without or with dishes. Run the programme to the end.

Origin and properties of ingredients
The raw material for the extraction of citric acid are by-products from the sugar industry such as molasses. During the decalcification process, citric acid acts in its general capacity as an acid on the precipitated limestone and dissolves it again, producing carbon dioxide.
